In-home or in situation tests (shops, transportations, public spaces) can be organized to assess the products in “natural” conditions. This opportunity cannot be avoided to study some products, particularly some products linked to a personal use or a family consumption, or products which assessment depends much on their implementation, example body care products, hygiene products, culinary appliances … The specific advantages of in-home or in situation tests are diverse. For the main ones, the products are tested in a real environment or very close to reality, concerning the preparation/use, the moment of consumption/use or the occasions of consumption/use and all the occasions making contact with the product assessed. In addition, this context is absolutely necessary for services or products which cannot be physically transferred to a laboratory (front door, public space, drive through, thermal ambiance, …). Various results and tests situations will support the presentation.
