Sensory Project Manager

Company: ADRIANT® SILLIKER,
Location: Nantes, France


ADRIANT® SILLIKER is a company specialised in sensory and consumers studies.

In order to satisfy our client’s needs, we are looking for a sensory project manager in charge of expert jury panels in Nantes.

The missions requested are:

  • Products reception, checking, recording and storage
  • Products preparation for the sessions (masking, coding, reconditioning, etc…)
  • FIZZ software session management (questionnaire preparation, session creation and management, session simulation, data capture, etc…)
  • Lab test preparation, session moderation
  • Administrative management in collaboration with the Silliker pay department
  • Lab test, kitchen and material ordering and cleaning
  • Data processing and analysis
  • Sending raw data and final full report in English to the final client


This job will require English fluent skills: weekly relation in English with the client (logistics, research management, etc…) and at least 3 business trips to Germany from March to June 2010, then 1 business trip every month from July 2010 for the results oral presentation and discussion of the different projects to come.

Qualification requirement:

  • 5-year graduate degree – Engineer level or equivalent
  • Degree in Food industry or Sensory Analysis
  • 1 or 2 year(s) of experience as panel leader / sensory project manager (experience in cosmetics expected - internship or contract)
  • Formation and/or experience in statistics and data analysis
  • Fluent English (oral and writing)

1 year contract (March 2010 to February 2011)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The main responsibility will be to contribute and manage projects aiming at a better understanding of the biological drivers of perception and more specifically:

  • Provide sound sensory support to projects coordinated by research biologists and neuroscientists
  • Propose new research ideas and set clear research hypotheses
  • Plan and manage projects (resource, activities, and budget)
  • Ensure the quality of results and report them (oral communication, reports) to the scientific community and to business


REQUIREMENTS:

  • PhD in Sensory Science or Experimental Psychology with a strong scientific insight
  • Strong background in human neuroscience or human biology of senses
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, good practice of French (for local sensory panel) or willingness to improve i.e. not necessarily a native French speaker. 


PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Good project management and communication skills
  • Well organized, autonomous and with strong scientific insight.
  • Service oriented: able to provide sensory support to scientists from different backgrounds
  • Keen to work in an international environment

  • Quick grasp, willing to learn new approaches and keen to frequent travelling are essential
  • For the opening in Zurich: German mother tongue, very good in English and fluent in French is an advantage.

Job requirements
